  1. In the Articles of Confederation, I was surprised to find how desperate the delegates were. I was also surprised to find that the delegates met in secret. -Elijah

  2. 1. What I found interesting is that if we do not have a constitution, there would basically be chaos and very little order. I learned this in the video called, “Articles of Confederation”.

    2. In the Schoolhouse Rock video, I learned that if you are ruled by a King, you are told what to do by him. But if you have a representative democracy, everyone has a say in how things go.

  3. One thing I learned from the last video was that it took a long time to get the government set up. I also learned from the first video that even though they had to pay taxes they had no political say.

  4. The first thing that I learned is when the government called the representatives to the meeting to rewrite the articles, it took three months in the smoldering heat for them to change the central form of the government. The second thing is that Thomas Jefferson and John Adams where not present during the change of government.

  5. One thing I learned from the Articles of Confederation video was that Congress was the only branch of the government at first. From the last video, I learned that The writing of the Constitution was kept entirely secret.

  6. One thing I learned is that in the making of the constitution, the delegates met in one room for one whole day, without air conditioning, or even an electric fan! I also learned that the delegates met in secret during the making of the constitution.

  7. From the Schoolhouse Rock video, I learned what "taxation without representation" mean, and from the last video, I learned that only 8 delegates showed up to the convention at the beginning, but by the end of the convention, there were 55 delegates in all.

  8. 1. From the schoolhouse rock video, I learned that the colonies in their early stages, actually wanted the king to help them run their colonies.

    2. In the second video, I found it interesting that even before the fighting started, James Madison had been formulating a new form of government.

    3. In the last video, I learned that the constitution was not excepted by the required 9 out of 13 states until 2 years after it was created.

  9. 1. I didn't know that the articles of the constitution wanted to have a weak central government and a strong sense of state government through out the thirteen states.
    2. Surprisingly i did not know that it was a secret of the voting debate at Philadelphia to over throw the power that King George the III had in america.

  12. I learned that some people had rebelled against the government during the time that the constitution was being made.
I also learned that John Adams and Thomas Jefferson were not at the Constitutional Convention because they were serving as foreign ministers in England.
